Pima County Historic Courthouse, Arizona
Courthouse Image
Designed in 1928 by Roy Place in Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival style architecture, the historic courthouse in Pima County housed the Pima County Superior Court until 1977. The courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The county plans to convert the courthouse to museum space and to set up a memorial there that commemorates the victims of the 2011 Tucson shooting that seriously wounded then-U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords.
