It houses the headquarters for the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Texas and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Northern District of Texas. Also the U.S. Attorney’s office. A combination federal building and federal courthouse, it also houses federal agencies such as the IRS, Department of Agriculture, Health and Human Services, U.S. Corps of Engineers, and GSA. It was built in 1971, has over one million square feet, is sixteen floors tall and is adjoined to the east by the historic Santa Fe Federal Building. Cabell for a former Dallas mayor and congressman.
